Life can feel overwhelming, confusing, and difficult. Relationships can be challenging. This often results in symptoms like depression, anxiety, problematic behaviors, and a lack of fulfillment. I help people make sense of their experience and navigate through their struggles to achieve a greater sense of purpose, freedom, flexibility, and choice in their lives. Symptoms diminish as a consequence of this inner work and process. The therapeutic relationship is the tool in which self-exploration and discovery takes place. This collaborative relationship is the vehicle for working through, understanding, and resolving feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and relationship patterns that interfere with your development and well being.
There are many reasons to seek professional help. A psychotherapist provides a unique opportunity to explore concerns with an objective eye and a trained ear. Seeing a psychotherapist is an act of courage and a positive step towards wholeness.
In addition to my training as a psychotherapist, my long time involvement in yoga and meditation practice gives me an important mind-body-spirit perspective.
I see adolescents and adults, and work with individuals, couples, and groups. The services I provide are supportive counseling, long-term psychotherapy, workshops and retreats.
